The goal of the Agreement is to support participation of Ukraine in the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund which aims at providing effective international financial support to the projects related to energy efficiency and improvement of the environmental situation.
To fulfill its obligations under the Agreement, Ukraine has to pay a fee in the amount of EUR 10 million to the Fund (EUR 2 million annually during 5 years).
Ratification of the Agreement will attract resources for the priority projects on modernization of municipal infrastructure in the sphere of water and heat supply, and use of renewable and alternative energy sources.
The draft is registered under Reg. No. 0215.
